Mourning Doves

It was very cold just after sunrise, but these two mourning doves seemed to be keeping warm. One of them finally popped its head up, and I hoped that its neck feathers would smooth out as I zoomed in for a tighter shot.

However, the dove’s feathers would quickly become even more ruffled as a squirrel ran down their cozy power line.

    1. Thanks!

It is a very peaceful sound, isn’t it? That same pair of doves usually visits the power line outside my window each morning and just before dusk too.
